Potential Childcare Program

108-110 Henry St, Midtown Kingston

In Spring 2023, NoVo purchased this property from the Kingston City Land Bank with the hope of developing a community-based childcare program to serve the evolving needs of local families. Initial community dialogues and research has shown a growing need for both in-home and center-based childcare for infants and toddlers, as well as for children whose parents/caregivers work second and third shifts where childcare options are extremely limited. 

The building is need of a full gut renovation as well as significant environmental remediation, which is typical for a long-vacant building of this age. Once initial abatement work is complete, NoVo intends to work with neighbors, families, local childcare providers, and other early childhood development experts to develop a building and program design in collaboration with Dutton Architecture that meets all City of Kingston and NYS regulations and blends with the fabric of the neighborhood.
